. . . .y'okay, so, I'm going to submit Arcelia over here if that's all right? I'll keep up with the other one too, and this one, I can keep them separate in my head.

Yeah, I'm completely sure. The only thing that ever gets my full attention in life is roleplaying and all the ones I'm in, creatively speaking anyway, I can think of this version of Even Angels as being something like an alternate telling of it. Two potential tellings of a story that have the same basis, but play out differently.

Both are accurate, but are just different. Actually, it sounds a lot of fun when I think of it like that, seeing what'll happen with Arcelia and different characters with this is interesting to me. :3

Yeah, that's what I thought too :) I hope this one fills and starts off well

I'm sending out the same hopes for this too. XD Also, I just posted in the other one . . . I was halfway through the post before. Haha. Oh, also, are you listing the slots out on the Intro page like before or is it just a fill in as they go? Just curious!

I'm just gonna fill them in as the fill up. And just read your post. It always amazes me how much you can put in every time xD

Ahh, y'okay. ^-^

And that post was . . . that post was the shortest I've done in the last three weeks. XD Everything else keeps going up and way beyond that. ^-^;; I'm going through another phase where most everything I write comes out rather long-winded. I tend to dwell upon my characters and take in as much observation I think they could make throughout a moment in a scene. >.> Sometimes it might be a wee bit much.

Are Syrian shells raining biological agents down on Lebanese?

Lebanese living along the Syrian border are reporting rashes and other ailments. They suspect Syrian biological weapons are to blame, although weapons experts say that is unlikely.

Residents in Nourat al-Tahta and other villages under routine Syrian shellfire are complaining of unexplained symptoms may indicate artillery shells have been filled with a biological agent, but weapons experts discount the panicky assumptions.

Nazir Shrayteh, a doctor from the nearby village of Dousi, says he has received an unusually large number of patients from villages under shellfire in recent months complaining of rashes and diarrhea.

?Since May we have been getting these skin problems,? he says. ?I don?t know what it is, but I feel something odd is going on.?

Still, biological weapons experts say that the chances are remote that biological agents in Syrian artillery shells are the cause of the ailments. Although T-2 mycotoxins, a chemical produced by certain fungi and used as a biological weapon, are said to cause both symptoms, they are extremely toxic and potentially fatal, says Kelsey Gregg, a former biosecurity specialist with the Federation of American Scientists.

?Even at low doses, there would likely be different symptoms from an?aerosol,?including?eye and respiratory problems,? she says.

Furthermore, the ad hoc pattern of Syrian shellfire does not suggest a determined attempt to deliver biological agents. Ms. Gregg suspects the blame lies with poor sanitary conditions due to the stressful, overcrowded and abnormal circumstances in which the local residents and Syrian refugees are living.

The Nourat al-Tahta residents' case bears some similarity to a recent incident in Afghanistan, when a group of schoolgirls showing symptoms of poisoning raised fears that the Taliban was poisoning the drinking water supplies at several schools. The World Health Organization dismissed the symptoms as more likely a form of mass hysteria ? something that has happened many times in history, the Monitor reported.

Website for Sale on Flippa: Established Online Marketing Business ...

Hi there, Gian here!
And with another great listing! As you may have seen in my sale history, I have accumulated a 6-figures worth of sales in the past while maintaining 100% positive feedback. Rest assured that you can bid with confidence.

This listing is for a business-to-business solution, a complete online advertising program and a large social media marketing network which allows business owners to increase targeted prospects to their website based on specific niches or locations. Services include: website traffic, Twitter followers, Facebook fans, YouTube views and directory submissions.

The business is 100% outsourced through numerous advertising networks and wholesale providers that we are connected to; order processes are fully automated all the way from order entry to order completion. This doesn?t require any manual work on admin side aside from answering a few support emails and approving new orders on a daily basis.

The ordering process is very convenient and fast for customers; once the customer chooses the advertisement package and proceeds to registration page, the customer is presented with a short registration form, or 3 quick login APIs through Yahoo, Google or Facebook which allows skipping registration and proceeding directly to the order page. Finally user is taken to the page where he/she can fill in website url and complete the order.

After the customer places an order for any package the campaign goes into ?Approval? mode until an admin chooses to activate the campaign from the administration panel. All actions made in the admin area for campaign status changes results in a notification to customers by email (i.e. campaign creation, activation, or completion). Also, all outgoing email contents can be customized from the admin area.

There has been over $30,000 invested for the custom script, unique design and content, videos, marketing, SEO etc. And countless hours of work done by myself, hired programmers, designers, marketers, copywriters, beta-testers.

My idea was actually to also sell the copies of script to other companies for more profit, however because of area of the interest has changed to different projects, I did not go further than building the script and using it on my own site. As the new owner will own exclusive rights to the script, it can be sold for ?$500 per copy ?easily. I have not sold any copies however, I got many inquiries.

?

If you buy this business, it will refinance itself during 6-9 months, depending on your marketing know-how and efforts! It's a big opportunity, don't miss it.

Traffic Details:

All the traffic the website gets is organic; most traffic comes directly from search engines and referrals such as affiliates, directories, social network sites etc. This website is not affected from any panda or penguin updates so far.

Keeping the site focused on long-tail keywords and fully utilizing white-hat SEO techniques that comply with all search engine guides while maintaining unique & professionally written content got this website pretty well ranked among all search engines.

Administration Panel Features:

As the admin area has too many features and functions to explain here, I will upload screen shots of administration pages which you can download on the right side of this listing under attachments. You will need to sign & fax us confidentiality agreement (NDA) first to see the attachments.

How much time does it take to operate this website?

This is one of the easiest e-commerce websites you can operate as far as managing the site; it is all virtual and the automated script does all the work for you! It has well-documented frequently asked questions which is very explanatory and that?s why we don?t get much pre-sales emails except for getting requests from some customers for custom orders.

It takes 30 minutes or less to take care of the daily tasks of approving orders from the administration panel. All it consists of is answering some questions through emails and getting a few inquiry phone calls from potential customers.

However, as the new owner you should keep writing unique articles, posting new tweets, releasing press releases etc. as part of keeping the website in good shape. By doing so, the rankings will hold and so will your income. I will walk you through step-by-step if you don?t know how to do all these tasks.

?
Why are we selling?

This business has been very profitable. Due to having interest in new and much bigger ventures, I have decided to put this website for sale and invest the funds received from this sale in my new projects.

Do I need programming or marketing experience to operate this website?

Operating this website requires no programming or marketing knowledge at all. The service is fully outsourced and the website itself can be managed from the graphical administration panel. Anybody with an internet connection and a PC can operate it easily.

Does the website require any technical maintenance?

The script requires no technical maintenance at all. It is set to run on auto-pilot, therefore it only requires an admin to approve or reject orders daily from the administration panel.

How reliable is the outsourcer network? Would it just run out of business some day?

It is a very unlikely case where you would see a money generating network ever go down with thousands of clients to serve. However, if that ever happens, there are other countless competitor outsourcer networks still available which some of we have worked in the past with.

How much do you pay for the outsourcer network?

We pay to the outsourcer network on a per-order basis.

Website Traffic Service - 10% to 22% of order amount Social Media Marketing Service - 15% to 30% of order amount Directory Submissions Service - 10% to 20% of order amount
i.e. if the order is $100, paying 10% to the network for outsourcing the service, that would be $10 to the service provider and you would receive $90.

Notes:
Order amount above is referred to the prices on our order page which are determined by us. New owner can either increase or decrease these prices from the administration panel. All prices are one-time per package basis.

The percentage change is dependent on the service type and target such as: bulk Twitter followers, country targeted Twitter followers or niche targeted Twitter followers.

What is your reserve price?

Revealing the reserve price is not within Flippa policies. Also, the reserve price is not that important as we may still sell the website to the highest bidder even if the reserve price is not met, as long as the bid is an acceptable offer.

Are you going to give post-sale support to the new owner?

Even though learning to operate this business takes just a few days, the new owner will receive 45 days of full support by email or phone whenever necessary.

What payment methods is this website set to accept?

The website can accept 2Checkout, Plimus, Paypal, Skrill (Moneybookers), Payza (Alertpay), Liberty Reserve, and Perfect Money. These accepted methods can be enabled or disabled from admin.

New payment gateways can be added easily by hiring a programmer who is familiar with PHP Codeigniter framework (I can introduce the new owner to known programmers I have worked in the past).
If you decide to use your own gateway, I will personally integrate one of the gateway for you.

How is the sale going to take place?

We accept escrow.com which is secure and is also recommended by Flippa. I will cover all escrow and Flippa fees. Buyer will not pay any fees.

How is the transfer going to be settled?

As I will be initiating escrow within 24 hours of closing of sale, I expect the buyer to accept the escrow and transfer the funds into escrow account within 48 hours of escrow initiation, therefore, it is essential for buyer to have the funds available before for transfer. If you don?t have the funds available yet, please let me know before you bid on the auction.

Seller initiates the escrow process within 24 hours of closing of sale. Buyer accepts the escrow initiation and transfers the funds into escrow within 48 hours of accepting the escrow. Seller transfers (pushes) all 3 domain names to buyer (domain names are registered through Godaddy.com so you will need to have Godaddy.com account or you can create a free account with them if you don?t have one). Buyer confirms the receipt of 3 domains and releases the escrow in full. Once seller confirms that the funds are released in full then seller sends all information about website and buyer gets access to all files, hosting account, all content, usernames and passwords. Transaction is complete. Full support is given for 45 days after the sale.
I will personally handle all transfer procedures for getting the new server, transferring files to new server, and preparing the site for its new owner. I will also write very-well documented guide about operation of the site, the administration panel, files, folders, etc.

You will receive all needed information about every aspect of the site, from the technology used to implement the site to the techniques used to drive traffic and sales. If you have never run a website business before and are in need of a good business to start, this website will provide you with everything you need to succeed.

Are you willing to sign a non-compete agreement?

Yes, I will sign a non-compete agreement with the new owner upon request.

Do you guarantee a continuous traffic or revenue?

I make no guarantees or assurances that the website will continue performing with the current levels. The website is being sold as is. There are always ups and downs for any businesses. It is all up to the new owner to maintain the site?s traffic and revenue by doing some on-site and off-site SEO work regularly. I?d like to see you succeed and that?s why I?m offering 45-day support. If you somehow feel uncertain, please do not bid. It?s that simple.

In the experiment, the researchers used approximately 1, 000 paintings of 34 well-known artists, and let the computer algorithm analyze the similarity between them based solely on the visual content of the paintings, and without any human guidance. Surprisingly, the computer provided a network of similarities between painters that is largely in agreement with the perception of art historians.

A computer-generated graph of similarities between 34 different painters, reflecting the similarities between the artistic styles of painters as were automatically deduced by the computer. The analysis shows that the computer was clearly able to identify the differences between classical realism and modern artistic styles, and automatically separated the painters into two groups, 18 classical painters and 16 modern painters. Inside these two broad groups the computer identified sub-groups of painters that were part of the same artistic movements. Overall, the computer automatically produced an analysis that is in large agreement with the influential links between painters and artistic movements as defined by art historians and critiques. The analysis showed that the computer was clearly able to identify the differences between classical realism and modern artistic styles, and automatically separated the painters into two groups, 18 classical painters and 16 modern painters.

Inside these two broad groups the computer identified sub-groups of painters that were part of the same artistic movements. For instance, the computer automatically placed the High Renaissance artists Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Michelangelo very close to each other. The Baroque painters Vermeer, Rubens and Rembrandt were also clustered together by the algorithm

Similarly, the computer algorithm deduced that Gauguin and C?zanne, both considered post-impressionists, have similar artistic styles, and also identified similarities between the styles of Salvador Dali, Max Ernst, and Giorgio de Chirico, all are considered by art historians to be part of the surrealism school of art.

Overall, the computer automatically produced an analysis that is in large agreement with the influential links between painters and artistic movements as defined by art historians and critiques.

While the average non-expert can normally make the broad differentiation between modern art and classical realism, they have difficulty telling the difference between closely related schools of art such as Early and High Renaissance or Mannerism and Romanticism. The

The experiment was performed by computing from each painting 4,027 numerical image context descriptors ? numbers that reflect the content of the image such as texture, color and shapes in a quantitative fashion. This allows the computer to reflect very many aspects of the visual content, and use pattern recognition and statistical methods to detect complex patterns of similarities and dissimilarities between the artistic styles and then quantify these similarities.

Did you honestly think Eric Schmidt went all the way to Seoul just to launch the Nexus 7 for South Korea, hang out with Samsung's JK Shin and moan about the patent war with Apple? Of course not. The Google chairman also found some time to learn the legendary "invisible horse" dance with PSY, the charismatic oppan in the Korean chart-topper Gangnam Style. While Google Korea was happy to supply a few photos, the only video we could dig up was a surprisingly short one hosted by Daum -- it's embedded right after the break.

Brian: "Man, not being the CEO of a multinational corporation sure is hard work."

Terrence: "I see you are a fellow disciple of the Carlton Banks school of dance."

Don: "Gangnam Style, 2012-2012."

Billy: "This song is really about the time I set my socks on fire. I see you still have yours. One moment."

Edgar: "Hm... I think we forgot the horse."

Richard Lai: "PSY, please Google+ me when this comes out on Dance Central."

Dan: "Doenjang Girls, would you like to buy a Nexus 7? It's wayyy more expensive than a latté."

Darren: "Soooo glad this guy put this video on YouTube and not Vimeo. $$$$$$$$"

Jon Fingas: "Oppan Google sty-- no, even I can't go that far."

Kenya attacks last stronghold of Somali militants

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) ? Kenyan military forces made a pre-dawn beach landing on the last port city held by al-Qaida-linked militants in Somalia in an attack that could see the insurgents lose their last stronghold of value.

Kenyan military spokesmen quickly claimed victory early Friday, saying their troops now control the city of Kismayo.

Col. Cyrus Oguna, the military's top spokesman, said the surprise attack met minimal resistance.

"The operation began five days ago with surgical attacks and gun placement at the jetty and warehouse. In the final operation Kenya's maritime forces and the Somali national army together with land troops with air support entered Kismayo. Because there was that element of surprise there was no resistance," he said.

Residents in Kismayo contacted by The Associated Press said that Kenyan troops had taken control of the port but not the whole city. Mohamed Haji said that helicopters were attacking the town and that al-Shabab fighters were moving toward the front line. Haji said al-Shabab's radio station was still on the air.

"Al-Shabab fighters are on the streets and heading toward the front line in speeding cars. Their radio is still on the air and reporting the war," he said.

African Union troops pushed al-Shabab out of Mogadishu in 2011, ending four years of control of the capital by the fighters. The Ugandan and Burundian troops that make up the bulk of the African Union force in Mogadishu have slowly been taking control of towns outside of Mogadishu.

The expanding control by African Union troops has sent al-Shabab fighters fleeing south toward Kismayo, north to other regions of Somalia and across the Gulf of Aden to Yemen, according to American and African Union officials.

Al-Shabab still holds sway across much of small, poor villages of southern Somalia. But Kismayo is seen as the militants' last stronghold because of the taxes the group is able to charge on goods coming into the port. Al-Shabab lost its major source of financing last year when it was pushed out of Bakara market in Mogadishu, where it also charged taxes.

The march toward Kismayo by the Kenyan forces has been nearly a year in the making. Kenyan troops entered Somalia last October after a series of militant attacks inside Kenya, including multiple kidnappings of Westerners in and around the beach resort town of Lamu. Kenyan forces were bogged down by rain and poor roads but have making slow and steady progress toward Kismayo the last several months.

Sensing the impending battle, more than 10,000 residents have fled Kismayo in the last several weeks. Resident Faduma Abdulle said Friday that she is now leaving the town, too. She said al-Shabab announced false propaganda on its radio station Friday to trick residents into moving toward the invading troops.

"They told residents through their radio to loot a Kenyan ship that washed up on the coast, but instead the residents who rushed there were attacked by helicopters," she said. "Some of them have died but I don't know how many. The situation is tense and many are fleeing. It's a dangerous situation."

Oguna said that al-Shabab has incurred "heavy losses" but that Kenyan forces have not yet had any injuries or deaths. He defended the attack on Kismayo.

"Capture may signal the end of al-Shabab because Kismayo has been the bastion which has financed activities of the al-Shabab in other regions of Somalia," he said. "Al-Shabab has contributed to insecurity in the region through its terror network and influx of small arms and ammunition."

Occupy Wall Street protester can't keep tweets from prosecutors

NEW YORK (Reuters) - An Occupy Wall Street protester has lost his latest bid to prevent the Manhattan district attorney's office from using his tweets against him, clearing the way for the judge overseeing the case to unseal the tweets and give them to prosecutors.

In a case that has drawn the attention of electronic privacy advocates, a New York judge denied a request from the protester, Malcolm Harris, to put the tweets on ice while his appeal is pending.

Harris, 23, was arrested along with hundreds of others during a mass march across the Brooklyn Bridge in October 2011 for obstructing vehicular traffic.

Prosecutors subpoenaed Twitter for several months of his tweets, which are no longer available online, to combat his argument that police appeared to lead the protest onto the bridge before turning around and arresting them for walking on the roadway.

Electronic privacy advocates worry a precedent could be set that would make it more difficult for social media users to challenge law enforcement's use of their online words against them.

Twitter and Harris have unsuccessfully fought the subpoena, which has been repeatedly upheld as lawful by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Matthew Sciarrino. The San Francisco-based company finally surrendered the tweets earlier this month after Sciarrino threatened it with contempt and a hefty fine.

Sciarrino had agreed to seal the tweets until a state Supreme Court judge ruled on Harris' latest request for a stay of Sciarrino's order upholding the subpoena. The judge, Carol Huff, denied the request this week.

Martin Stolar, Harris' attorney, said he was "disappointed" but would continue to pursue other legal challenges.

Sciarrino is reviewing the tweets and will provide to prosecutors those that appear relevant to the criminal case.

Twitter still has an appeal of Sciarrino's order pending in an intermediate appellate court, scheduled to be heard in November.

Harris also has a separate civil action pending, claiming Sciarrino overstepped his authority; prosecutors have asked a court to dismiss that lawsuit as an improper attempt to circumvent the normal appellate procedure.

Harris' criminal trial is scheduled for December.

The case is People v. Harris, Criminal Court of the City of New York, No. 2011NY080152.

Researchers investigate aggression among kindergartners

ScienceDaily (Sep. 27, 2012) ? Not all aggressive children are aggressive for the same reasons, according to Penn State researchers, who found that some kindergartners who are aggressive show low verbal abilities while others are more easily physiologically aroused. The findings suggest that different types of treatments may be needed to help kids with different underlying causes for problem behavior.

"Aggressive responses to being frustrated are a normal part of early childhood, but children are increasingly expected to manage their emotions and control their behavior when they enter school," said Lisa Gatzke-Kopp, assistant professor of human development and family studies. "Kids who don't do this well, who hit their classmates when they are frustrated or cause other types of disturbances in the classroom, are at especially high risk for long-term consequences including delinquency, violence, dropping out of school, abusing substances and even suicide. Research tells us that the earlier we can intervene, the better the chances of getting these children back on track."

Gatzke-Kopp and her colleagues, who include Mark Greenberg, professor of human development and family studies and of psychology, asked each of the kindergarten teachers in all 10 of the elementary schools in Pennsylvania's Harrisburg School District to rate the aggressive behaviors of their students on a six-point scale with items such as "gets in many fights" and "cruelty, bullying or meanness to others." Using these data, the team recruited a group of high-risk children (207 children) and a group of low-risk children (132 children) to undergo a range of neurobiological measures aimed at understanding how aggressive children experience and manage emotions differently than their non-aggressive classmates.

The team assessed all of the children's cognitive and academic skills using standardized tests that identified the children's developmental level of vocabulary, spatial reasoning and memory. In addition, the team asked teachers to provide ratings of each child's behaviors, including their levels of aggression, disobedience and sadness, as well as their social skills and level of self-control in the classroom.

The researchers also assessed the children's brain functioning using a mobile research laboratory they brought to the schools. Within the mobile lab, the team measured the children's heart rate and skin conductance activity during tasks designed to elicit emotional responses, including showing the children short video clips of a cartoon character in a variety of situations depicting fear, sadness, happiness and anger. The researchers wanted to understand how emotional and physical arousal to different types of emotions differed between children who engage in aggressive behavior and children who don't engage in aggressive behavior, as well as how different children who engage in aggressive behavior react.

According to Gatzke-Kopp, the assessments enabled the researchers to understand how cognitive and emotional processing may contribute to the development of aggressive tendencies. Specifically, the team found that 90 percent of the aggressive kids in the study could be characterized as either low in verbal ability or more easily physiologically aroused. The results will appear in the August 2012 issue of Development and Psychopathology.

"What we may be seeing is that there are at least two different routes through which a child may act aggressively," Gatzke-Kopp said. "Because these are very different processes, these children may need different approaches to changing their behavior."

The first group of kids was characterized by lower verbal ability, lower levels of cognitive functioning and fewer executive function skills.

According to Gatzke-Kopp, children need verbal skills to understand the feelings of others and guidance from adults, and to express feelings without hitting. They also need adequate cognitive and executive-function abilities to manipulate information and to think of alternatives to hitting and fighting.

"This group of kids may be functioning at a cognitive level that is more akin to a preschooler than a kindergartner," Gatzke-Kopp said. "They have a harder time extracting what other people are feeling. They don't have a nuanced sense of emotions; everything is either happy or sad to them. So they might not be as good at recognizing how their behavior is making another child feel. They may literally have a hard time 'using their words,' so hitting becomes an easier solution when they are frustrated."

The second group of kids had good verbal and cognitive functioning, but they were more physiologically aroused. They were more emotionally reactive, and tended to have more stressors in their lives.

"These children may be able to tell you that if somebody pushed them on the playground they would go get a teacher, but the push happens and they kind of lose it and it doesn't matter what they should do, they just act on impulse," Greenberg said. "One possibility is that the threshold for managing frustration is quite low for these kids. So what we might consider a minor annoyance to them is a major threat. When they are calm they function very well, but when they lose control of their emotions, they can't control their behavior."

In the future, the team plans to examine how these different types of children respond to an intervention delivered over the second half of kindergarten and the first half of first grade.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health funded this research. Other authors of the paper include Christine Fortunato, postdoctoral fellow, and Michael Coccia, statistical consultant, both in the Penn State Prevention Research Center for the Promotion of Human Development.

Askewl dot com ? Risk Management With Your Web Business ...

It seems like no matter how many ways you try to make your marketing more effective, you end up overlooking something. If you try too hard to achieve perfection, you?ll end up neglecting some crucial action steps. If you make a mistake, it?s not the end of the world so don?t worry about this too much. If you keep the principles we?ll be discussing in this article in mind, you?ll find it easier to succeed with your business blog.

Some blogs are so thick with advertisements, pop-ups and the like that you can hardly find the articles. You can understand the motivation behind this, but it?s annoying all the same. Remember that for your blog to be successful, you have to make it user friendly for your visitors. So just remember to only use the minimum number of plugins so you avoid a slow loading blog. At the same time, you shouldn?t use too many apps as they can also slow things down. You should have some kind of tracking script in place for analytics and data gathering. The cleaner your blog is, though, the more visitor friendly it will be.

Having a list of tasks you must complete every day is a simple but very helpful method that can be at the foundation of your time management plan. It doesn?t matter if you write it on a bulletin board or have it on a file on your laptop or phone as long as you have it handy. If you have dozens of things to do every day, this list can prevent you from forgetting something important. There are many ways to get distracted, either by other business related tasks or your personal life. There are, however, certain actions that are essential for you to complete every day. One task that is necessary for your business?s future growth is constantly finding new prospects or leads. This means getting steady traffic to your website, which is an ongoing challenge.

Online marketers, probably more than any other type of business owner, tend to find themselves multitasking a great deal of the time. You are drawn to the idea of multiple streams of income, perhaps in several different niches. What this usually does, however, is make it hard for you to give your full concentration on any single project. This is not the way to run a successful business. It?s more efficient to focus on one task at a time. If it is a major project, then work on that in addition to your daily business and marketing tasks. But do some load shedding and give yourself a break and room to focus on something.

Discussing this topic usually takes quite a while, as you can see based upon the length of this article. This article has not even scratched the surface about what can be said. No matter what your goals are, personal issues will always make or break your attempts to succeed with IM, no matter what type of business you set up. When it comes to your Internet business, realize that issues like this are par for the course when searching for online success.

It really is crucial to take things found at satelite direct into mind!
